INTIMACY BAROMETER
The
Intimacy Barometer shows the level of closeness in your relationship.
Complete the exercise individually; but concurrently. Monitor
your behaviour in this way at the end of every week, for 6 weeks.
One
Make
twelve photocopies of this page - two for each week. At the
end of each week, take some quiet time together and assess the
statements independently, giving each answer a score of between
1 and 5. Then each record your total score.
The scores: 1 = never, 2 = rarely, 3 = sometimes, 4 = often,S
= constantly

Two
Exchange
pages and read your partner's scores. Do not comment,
but thank your partner. Then, discuss how you might both be
able to show more intimacy toward one another. Where are there
areas of low score? What effort can each of you make to work
on these areas? Perhaps one of you feels that something had
an unjustly low score - talk about why. Might one of you have
unwittingly taken something the other did for granted?
